Checking the service brake system is carried out on a roller brake stand with the engine running
Installation of high-pressure fuel pump, injectors, high-pressure and low-pressure pipes ZIL-5301
The high-pressure fuel pump mating plate must be clean; nicks and other damage to the plate are not allowed
Adjusting the thrust bearings of the ZIL-5301 steering gear
To adjust the bearings, do the following:
- Hydraulic drive pressure regulator ZIL-5301
- Installation of oil pump and pump housing of power steering D-245
- Rear brake slave cylinder ZIL-5301
- Assembly of diesel engine D-245 (ZIL-Bychok)
- Adjusting the differential ZIL-5301
- Maintenance of the D-245E3 lubrication system
- Gas distribution mechanism D-245
