If a malfunction occurs during the operation of the vehicle (lighting up, flashing the diagnostic lamp of the “Common Rail” system), it is necessary to diagnose the “Common Rail” system using the diagnostic lamp and the diagnostic key and eliminate the identified malfunctions. The blinking of the diagnostic lamp characterizes the occurrence of a more serious malfunction than its continuous burning.
The ZIL-5301 vehicles use a single-plate dry clutch with a spring damper of torsional vibrations on the driven disk.
Adjusting the contact patch in the main transmission gears of the ZIL-5301
After adjusting the main transmission bearings, it is necessary to check the engagement of the teeth of the driving and driven bevel gears (on the paint on the contact patch) and, if necessary, adjust the engagement and set the required gap between the teeth.
The final drive can be adjusted or repaired without removing the rear axle from the vehicle.
The preload of the final drive bearings, the lateral clearance in the engagement and the contact patch are adjusted at the factory and, as a rule, they do not require adjustment during operation.
