Assemble the transfer case from a subassembly of its components

Disassemble the bridge in the following order:

Install the bridge on the stand (Fig. 1), unscrew the oil filler and oil drain plugs and drain the oil.

The hubs of the front and rear wheels (see Fig. 1 and 3) of all cars, except for cars with final drive axles, are the same

Disassemble the generator in the following order:

Repair and maintenance of the front axle UAZ-3151

The main gear and differential of the front axle are similar in design to the rear axle

Maintenance of the rear axle consists of maintaining the oil level in the crankcase and timely replacing it, checking seals, timely detection and elimination of axial clearances in the final drive gears

Repair of the crankshaft consists of regrinding the main and connecting rod journals to the next repair size

Maximum permissible wear of the main associated engine parts

Fill the hydraulic drive only with special brake fluid according to the instructions in the lubrication table in the following order:

Removing and installing the engine on vehicles of the UAZ-31512 family

Before removing the engine from a vehicle mounted on an inspection ditch, do the following:

Replace piston rings after 70,000–90,000 km (depending on vehicle operating conditions)

Check the wheel bearings periodically and, if necessary, adjust them

Using the diagram we determine the position of the bearing in the car and using the table we determine the model and number of the bearing

Remove in the following order:
