Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
To remove the separator, two-way valve of the gas tank, safety and gravity valves, remove the right side trim.
Removing the throttle assembly
We remove the throttle assembly to replace the idle speed controller or the throttle assembly gasket. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Removing the crankshaft position sensor
The sensor provides the controller with information about the rotation speed and angular position of the crankshaft.
The four-terminal ignition coil is a block of two coils
The current in the primary windings of the coils is controlled by the controller depending on the engine operating mode.
The hydraulic tensioner is installed in the front part of the cylinder head (on the right side) under the outlet pipe of the cooling jacket
Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket of the VAZ-21214 engine
Disconnect the fuel rail pipes, the throttle cable and the brake booster hose from the brackets attached to the cylinder head.
Remove the cylinder head cover (see How to replace the cylinder head cover gasket of a VAZ-21213, VAZ-21214 car)
We carry out the work in case of failure of one or more hydraulic supports of the valve drive levers

Valve seals or simply valve oil seals are changed during major engine repairs, as well as during cylinder head repairs
The VAZ-21213 engine is equipped with a generator of type 371.3701, and the VAZ-21214 engine is equipped with a generator of type 9412.3701

The gaskets should be replaced when changing the intake pipes and when burnout or wear of the gaskets is detected
The oil pump drive gear must be replaced when the teeth are worn out, and when the splines that connect the gear to the oil pump shaft are damaged or worn out
