Removing the controller

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

In the passenger compartment, using a screwdriver, remove the two buttons securing the trim of the front left side of the body.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw (shared with the threshold trim) that secures the side trim to the threshold

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw that secures the side trim to the floor.

Remove the side panel trim.

Using an "8" head, unscrew the two nuts securing the controller to the side panel.

Removing the controller with the wiring harness.

Unfasten the locking bracket of the controller connector

Removing the controller

Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the controller.

Install the controller in the reverse order.

Removing the control unit and status indicator of the car anti-theft system

Disconnect the "negative" wire of the battery.

In the cabin, remove the trim of the left side of the body (see above, as when removing the controller).

Disconnect the connector from the APS control unit.

Using an "8" head, unscrew the two nuts securing the unit

Remove the unit from the studs.

To remove the system status indicator, bring the indicator wires out from under the instrument panel and disconnect the two connectors (green and black).

On the inside of the instrument panel, the indicator housing is secured with a locking bracket.
