Design of the D-245 diesel engine
The D-245 diesel engine and its modifications are a four-stroke piston four-cylinder internal combustion engine with an in-line vertical arrangement of cylinders, direct injection of diesel fuel and compression ignition.
Rear wheel brake mechanisms ZIL-5301
Rear wheel brake mechanisms are shoe-type, drum-type. The brake mechanism design is shown in Fig. 1
To disconnect the rear axle without springs, the car must be placed on a flat horizontal platform or on an inspection ditch equipped with a lifting device
All seals and gaskets of the pump and its drive must be replaced during assembly.
The pump is assembled in the reverse order of disassembly.
After repair, the pump must be tested for performance on a special stand.
All parts of the boost corrector (BC) to be assembled must be clean, and the rubbing surfaces must be lubricated with engine oil
Wiping parts with a wiping material is not allowed.
Cylinder liners and cylinder block seating surfaces under the liners should be wiped with a napkin and blown with compressed air
Install the cylinder liners in the diesel block
Requirements for the oil pump of the D-245 diesel engine
Disassembly of a pair of injection gears, as well as the housing and cover of the oil pump is not allowed
