Repair of VAZ-2121
Removing the steering mechanism and adjusting the clearance in the worm bearings
We carry out the work on an inspection ditch or a lift.
Remove the bolt securing the lower universal joint fork of the intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear worm shaft (see Removing the steering column).
The hood covers the top of the engine compartment located in the front of the car
The hood consists of an outer panel and internal reinforcements connected to each other.
The exhaust system of the VAZ-21213 and VAZ-21214 consists of an exhaust manifold, a reception pipe, an additional and main muffler
We carry out the work on an inspection ditch or a lift.
To check the oil level in the gearbox (in the photo the vacuum booster has been removed for clarity)
We carry out the work on an inspection ditch or a lift
Disconnect the fastening of the main muffler to the additional muffler.

We check the belt tension by its deflection between the pulleys of the units
