Disassembling the ZIL-5301 pneumatic hydraulic booster
Disassembling the pneumatic hydraulic booster (PGU) for repairs is usually done in the following cases: fluid leaks through cuffs 29, 33, due to their swelling when using low-quality fluids; when the cuff of the pneumatic piston 23 wears out.
The probability of failure of other parts is small

Assembly of the pressure plate should be carried out in the reverse order of disassembly, on an auxiliary flywheel used as a device, placing a steel disk with a diameter of 300 mm and a thickness of 9.8 mm under the clutch pressure plate to adjust the position of the levers

Adjusting the ZIL-5301 Parking Brake

Cylinder liners and seating surfaces of the cylinder block under the liners should be wiped with a cloth and blown with compressed air.

ZIL vehicles and their modifications are equipped with a mechanical five-speed gearbox with synchronizers (Fig. 1).

On ZIL-5301 cars and buses manufactured before 01.09.01, an electric motor 351.5205 and a washer mod. 11.5208 with an electronic control unit mod. BUS 1.92.3761, located in the cabin under the instrument panel on the left side of the driver next to the hood release handle, were installed to drive the windshield wiper.
