We remove the fuel pump module in case of complete or partial failure of the electric fuel pump, clogged fuel pump filter or malfunction of the fuel gauge sensor
Preparation for module removal largely depends on the car model.
To remove the module, prepare the car for work.
It is advisable to remove the module so that the amount of fuel in the tank is less than half a tank.
If the car with station wagon body, then tilt the rear row of seats forward for a five-seater configuration and the middle row for a seven-seater configuration.
Disconnect and lift the floor trim
If the car has a van body, then remove the trim from the middle pillar, on the right side.
Remove the right part of the body partition.
Remove the right front part of the cargo compartment floor.
Removing the plastic cover of the fuel tank flap
Use a flat-head screwdriver to press the locking device of the wiring harness connector
Disconnect the connector
Start the engine to relieve pressure in the fuel system, and wait until it stalls.
After that, turn off the ignition and remove the negative terminal of the battery.
Squeeze the clamps of the tip of the fuel pipe and remove the tip from the fitting of the fuel module.
Unscrew the union, plastic nut with a mounting blade
If the nut does not give in, you need to make a device from a rod and use this device to unscrew the union nut
Remove the union nut
Put a rag around the hole so that the remaining fuel does not spill onto the car parts.
Carefully remove the fuel module from the tank, removing the float of the level sensor.
Pour the remaining fuel from the module into the previously prepared capacity.
Remove the rubber sealing ring.
Disconnect the wiring block of the level sensor.
Bend back the level sensor retainer.
Remove the fuel level sensor.
Use a flat-head screwdriver to release the three cup latches, while prying the cup
Remove the cover from the filter housing
The fuel pressure regulator channel tube is sealed with a rubber ring
The fuel pressure regulator and anti-drain valve are installed in the lower cover of the module.
Remove the filter from the fuel pump. It is best to replace it, but if this is not possible, you can flush it.
Use a flat, thin screwdriver to press the retainer of the upper cover of the fuel module

We take out the spring with the guide
Disconnect the fuel pump plug from the connector on the top cover
Remove the fuel pump from the fuel filter housing
Heat the plastic tube with a hair dryer and remove it from the pump.
Reinstall in reverse order.
Correctly install the sealing ring on the fuel tank neck
Try not to move the rubber ring when installing the module.
Orient the module so that the arrow on the module is opposite the arrow in tank.
Press the module cover, screw the union nut onto the tank neck.
Tighten the union nut until it stops, until the arrow on the ring is opposite arrows 1 and 2.
Install all the parts.
Connect the negative terminal of the battery and check the tightness and operation of the fuel module.
