To ensure good stability and controllability of the car, the front wheels are installed at certain angles relative to the body and suspension elements

If, when the engine is warmed up to operating temperature and idling, the emergency oil pressure lamp lights up, then you need to make sure that:

Remove the steering mechanism (see "Removing the steering column with electric power steering of a Lada Kalina car").
Remove the steering mechanism cover (see "How to replace the steering mechanism cover and the mechanism itself of the Lada Kalina car").

Remove the instrument panel assembly with the heater to replace the heater core, remove the heater fan motor, and also to remove the heater assembly

Applies to engines without hydraulic compensators
To compensate for thermal expansion of the valve stem, a gap is required between the camshaft cam and the valve tappet

Usually the ignition switch is removed to replace it, as well as to replace the contact group of the switch or the APS coil

If it is necessary to remove the adsorber, you must first remove the fuel tank, as shown in the article - “Removing the tank.”
But you can remove the adsorber if you lower the tank a little on an adjustable stand

The crankshaft position sensor is designed to generate signals by which the ECU synchronizes its operation with the engine operating cycle

The brake mechanism of the rear wheels is drum, with a two-piston wheel cylinder and automatic adjustment of the gap between the shoes and the drum

The generator is mounted on a bracket fixed to the engine
The generator is attached to the bracket with two bolts and nuts
The head of the upper bolt is kept from turning by two protrusions on the bracket

To check the condition of the wheel bearings, you need to hang the wheel and rotate it by hand
The wheel should rotate evenly, without jamming or knocking

Checking the performance of the interior heater
Start the engine.
Turn the air temperature control knob counterclockwise to the extreme position (blue sector).

The pressure in the engine power supply system can be checked with a conventional pressure gauge (for example, from a tire pump)

If the starter does not work when the ignition key is turned to position “II”, there may be a malfunction of both the starter itself and its activation circuit
