Removing the hood
Using side cutters we pry up and remove the 14 pistons that secure the soundproofing lining to the hood
Washing the flow and safety valves of the GAZ-3110 power steering pump
Clean the outside of the pump from dirt
Drain the oil from the system (see “Replacing the GAZ-3110 power steering oil”)
Drain the oil from the system (see “Replacing the GAZ-3110 power steering oil”)
Remove the pump drive belt.
