Disassembly and assembly of the input shaft of the GAZ-3110 gearbox
Remove the locking ring if it remains on the input shaft.
Remove the bulk rollers (14 pcs.) of the front bearing of the secondary shaft, if this has not been done previously.
Remove the retaining ring 1 and spring washer 2 of the ball bearing of the input shaft.
Press ball bearing 3 from the input shaft.

Remove the 4th gear synchronizer and take out the 14 rollers of the front support of the secondary shaft.
Gears, synchronizers and other parts located on the primary and secondary shafts are similar to each other, therefore, to facilitate subsequent assembly, they should be carefully laid out in the order of removal.
Use two thin screwdrivers or special pliers to open and remove the retaining ring and spring ring from the input shaft.
Using a tool (two mounting blades or a special puller) we press the input shaft bearing.
Assembling the input shaft
Lubricate the input shaft parts with a thin layer of gear oil.
Press the bearing onto the shaft, applying force to the inner ring of the bearing.
Insert filling rollers (14 pcs.) into the seat of the input shaft.
For ease of installation, it is possible to lubricate the seat with grease.
Install the locking ring. The new locking ring must be ground into the gear cone.
