Preparing the car for work

We repair the transfer case if there are any malfunctions

For disassembly you will need keys for 10, 13, 17, 24, 27, a screwdriver, a snap ring puller, a bearing puller, tweezers, a punch, a chisel, a vice with soft metal jaws

Drain the oil from the transfer case ("Changing the oil in the Niva Chevrolet transfer case").

You will need: a glass gluing kit, a steel string, a sharp knife

Starter type 5722.3708 (Fig. 1) is a DC electric motor with excitation from permanent magnets, combined with a planetary gearbox and an electromagnetic two-winding traction relay

The gearbox is mechanical, with manual shifting, has five forward gears and one reverse gear, all forward gears are synchronized
