Turbocharger - uses the energy of exhaust gases for operation, consists of a single-stage centrifugal compressor and a radial centripetal turbine

Design, maintenance of the MAZ car frame
The frame of the car is riveted, consists of two longitudinal beams (spars) of a channel shape with a variable section, made of strip low-alloy steel 22G2TYu 8 mm thick

Springs are made of strip spring steel (T-profile) grade 60C2
Spring sheets are subjected to heat treatment (hardening, tempering) to the hardness NVZ6Z-444
- Cause of malfunction - Remedy
Engine won't start:
- The starter does not turn the crankshaft or rotates it very slowly

The design of the central gearbox of the front axle is shown in fig. 1, wheel gears and pivot device in fig. 2, 3, the hinge of equal angular velocities in fig. 4

The friction lining of the drum surface, as well as the bushings and necks of the expanding fists and the axles of the shoes are subject to the greatest wear in service brakes

Only the crankcase, input shaft bearing cap, intermediate shaft, reverse gear block, third gear of the output shaft, oil pump housing and base are subject to repair in the gearbox

All-mode, centrifugal type, changes the fuel supply depending on the load, maintaining the engine speed set by the driver

The cylinder head is a one-piece gray cast iron and is attached to the block with studs screwed into the block

The engine removed from the car for repair is completely or partially disassembled, depending on the nature of the damage

Installation of the piston-cylinder group
Before installation, the liners must be selected according to the cylinders and the shoulder protrusion should be checked

Assemble the piston cooling nozzle (650.1004118) with gasket (650.1004121).
Install the nozzle, screw on the screws (310107) and tighten Mcr = 20 ± 4 Nm (see Fig.1)

Removing high pressure pipes
- Remove the bolt (12) securing the high pressure pipe bracket
- Unscrew the union nuts of the high pressure pipes from the fuel pump, rail and cylinder head

Removing the water pump
- 1. Remove the clamp by unscrewing the bolts (2) fastening the pipe of the inlet water pump (1) (650.1303060)

Disassembly of the cylinder head (guided by Fig. 1)
- 1. Unscrew the nuts (311442) securing the fuel supply fittings to the injectors

Removing the connecting rod and piston group
Number the connecting rods and connecting rod caps in accordance with the number of the cylinder on the side opposite the camshaft (if this is not provided for by the design)

Removing accessory drive belts and tensioners
In order to remove the alternator, fan and A/C compressor belts, do the following (see Fig. 1):
