The tailgate glass cleaner consists of a gearmotor type 471.3730, a lever and a brush. Laying the lever with a brush - right in the direction of the car
The electric motor of the cleaner is double-brush, excited by permanent magnets.
To protect against overloads, a thermobimetallic fuse is installed in it. The faulty gear motor is replaced with a new one.
Technical characteristics of the gear motor
Number of double strokes at a supply voltage of 14 V, load 0.5 Nm (0.05 kgf.m) and ambient temperature (25±10)°C, min –1 (50± 5)
Current consumed under these conditions, A, no more than 2
The purifier is turned on by a key switch on the instrument panel (the first position is fixed).
When you press the switch further (non-fixed position), the rear window washer also turns on.
Tailgate glass heating system
The glass heating element is connected via a relay type 113.3747, installed on the left under the instrument panel.
Heating is turned on by a key switch on the instrument panel. At the same time, the orange indicator lamp in the instrument cluster lights up.
Voltage is supplied to the switch only when the ignition is on.
If the heating element fails, replace the glass.
Removing the tailgate glass cleaner
Disconnect the negative cable of the battery.
Lifting the protective plastic cap, use a 10mm wrench to unscrew the nut securing the lever
By rocking, remove the windshield wiper arm.
Remove the protective cover of the nut
Use a 24 wrench to unscrew the nut
Remove the washer and rubber sealing ring
Opening the tailgate, remove the door trim, disconnect the wiper gear motor block
Using a 10mm wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the gear motor to the body.
Remove two “mass” wires.
Remove the gear motor
Install the tailgate glass cleaner in the reverse order.
Having installed the gear motor, turn it on for a short time before installing the leash.
Disable motogearbox with a key switch and wait until the shaft stops.
In this position of the shaft, we put a leash on it and secure it.
Removing the tailgate glass washer
Remove the left upholstery
Disconnect the wires from the electric motor.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two screws securing the clamp and remove it
Lift the tank and, by pulling, remove the electric pump
Remove the hose from the electric pump fitting
Install the tailgate glass washer in the reverse order.
When assembling, connect the red wire with a black stripe to the pump motor terminal, marked with a “+” sign.
