Lower the front door windows.

Remove the front pillar trims.

Remove the windshield trim panel and the wiper arms (see. "Removing, installing and repairing the windshield wiper").

Remove the windshield trim and clean it thoroughly.

If the trim is damaged or has lost its elasticity, replace it.

It is convenient to use a steel wire to remove the glued glass

Pierce the glue seam with a pointed tool (for example, an awl) and pull the string through the hole

For convenience of further work, wrenches can be attached to the ends of the string, which will serve with your hands.

Saw the glue seam along the entire perimeter of the glass with a string (you will need an assistant to perform this operation)

Remove the glass from the car

Take precautions when working with glass.

If the glass is damaged, it may break unexpectedly.

Cut off the old seam, leaving a thin layer of glue (1.0–2.0 mm).

Install the edging on the new one glass.

Apply the activator/cleaner to the edge of the glass and the window opening along the entire perimeter.

Apply primer along the perimeter of the glass

Apply primer to the window opening.

Do not apply primer to the remains of old glue!

Evenly apply glue to the window opening (layer thickness 0.5 cm)

Apply glue around the perimeter of the glass

Install the glass assembly with the edging on car, setting uniform gaps around the window perimeter using adjusting wedges.

Press and secure the glass with masking tape to prevent it from shifting downwards.

The polymerization period of the adhesive is at least two to three hours.

During this time, the car should not be exposed to any external influences.

Even abruptly closing the door can lead to an increase in air pressure in the cabin and, as a result, to the separation of the glass.

It is advisable to start using the car no earlier than 24 hours after gluing the glass.

Replace the rear door glass and the side glass in the same way.
