The windshield wiper is removed to straighten or replace deformed rods and levers
Replace a faulty gear motor with a new one.

You will need: a 10 mm wrench, a screwdriver.
Remove the fastening nut cover lever.
Unscrew the lever mounting nut.
Note that there is a spring washer installed under the nut.
Remove the lever.
Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the underhood lamp switch
Remove the switch.
Remove the screws securing the windshield trim
Remove the trim.
Disconnect the windshield wiper wiring harness block.
Unscrew the bolts of the rod mounting brackets on both sides
Remove the windshield trim mounting bracket
Unscrew the bolts securing the gearmotor bracket to the front shield.
Remove the windshield wiper mechanism as an assembly.
Before removing mark the relative position of the rod bracket relative to the gear motor.
Unscrew the nut securing the rods to the gear motor.
Unscrew the three bolts securing the gear motor to the bracket
Remove the gear motor.
Assemble and install the windshield wiper mechanism in the reverse order
