Preparing the car for work. Disconnecting the negative battery terminal
Remove clamp 2 and remove the intake muffler from the car (Figure 1).
Install the muffler in the reverse order.
Removing the air filter housing
Remove the intake muffler.
Press the spring clips and disconnect hose 1 from intake manifold 2.
To replace the filter element, unscrew two screws 4 with a screwdriver, remove cover 3 of the air filter housing.
Remove the filter element from the air filter housing cover.
Disconnect connector 1 (Figure 3) from the idle speed control valve. Disconnect connector 2 from the throttle position sensor.
Disconnect pipeline 5 from housing 3 of the air filter.
Using an 8 mm head, unscrew the two bolts 4 and remove housing 3 of the air filter from the car.
Before installing the air filter housing, install a new gasket on the throttle pipe, having previously lubricated it with engine oil.
Install housing 3, (Figure 3), of the air filter on the car.
Using an 8 mm head, install and tighten the two bolts 4. The tightening torque of the bolts is 9 Nm (0.9 kgf.m)
Connect pipeline 5 to housing 3 of the air filter.
Connect connector 2 to the throttle position sensor.
Connect connector 1 to idle speed control.
Install a new air filter element into the air filter housing cover.
Install cover 3, (Figure 2), onto the air filter housing and secure with two screws 4.
Connect hose 1 to intake manifold 2.
Install the intake noise muffler.
Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
