Removing the ramp and injectors of the Lada Granta engine

We remove the ramp and fuel injectors to check cleaning, replacement, and also when removing the intake pipe

Removing the injector ramp: 1 - injector ramp; 2 - fuel hose; 3 - injector ramp fastening bolts

Before removing the fuel line, relieve the pressure in the fuel system.

Location of the electric fuel pump module power circuit fuse: 1 - fuse F21 (15A) fuel pump module power circuit; 2 - mounting block

Remove the fuel pump power circuit fuse

Start the engine and wait until it stalls. After that, turn off the ignition and put the fuse in place.

Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery

Remove the air supply hose to the throttle body

Use a flat-head screwdriver to press out the clamp of the engine control system wire block

Disconnect the block from the injector wire block

Use two 17mm wrenches to unscrew the fuel rail fitting from the tip of the fuel supply hose to the rail

Remove the tip of the fuel supply hose from the ramp tube

The connection is sealed with a rubber ring

Remove the throttle assembly (described in the article - Removing and installing the Lada Granta receiver)

Using a 5mm hex wrench, unscrew the screw securing the ramp to the inlet pipe on the left side

Use the same key to unscrew the ramp fastening screw on the right side

By pulling the ramp along the axes of the injectors and overcoming the resistance of the rubber sealing rings of the injectors, we remove the four injectors from the holes in the intake pipe

We take out the fuel rail assembly with injectors to the left side of the car and remove it from the engine compartment

Compress the spring clamp boats of wires, disconnect the block from the injector connector

Disconnecting the injector wiring harness: 1 - injector wiring harness; 2 - fuel injectors

We also disconnect the pads from the connectors of other injectors

Use a screwdriver to pry the bracket that secures the injector onto the ramp

Remove the bracket

Overcoming the resistance of the rubber o-ring, remove the nozzle from the ramp pipe

Removing the ramp and engine injectors

Using the blade of a flat-head screwdriver, remove the rubber o-rings of the injector

We also remove other injectors.

To identify a faulty injector, connect a tester to the injector contacts in ohmmeter mode.

It should show a resistance of 11-15 Ohms

If the winding resistance is not normal, replace the nozzle.

Replace the injector O-rings with new ones.

Before installing the injectors, apply a thin layer of engine oil to the sealing rings.

We assemble and install the injectors and ramp in the reverse order.

Ramp bolt tightening torque 9-14 Nm

Tightening torque of the fuel hose fitting is 210-34 Nm.

After installing the ramp and injectors, you need to check the tightness of the connection of the pipeline and the injector seals.
