Brake caliper is replaced with significant wear of parts
If the caliper cylinder jams (the appearance of significant corrosion of the cylinder piston metal)
Remove the front brake hose (see How to replace the front brake hose of a Gazelle car)
Using the “10” key, unscrew the two bolts securing the kingpin cover
Remove the cover of the upper kingpin bearing with a grease fitting.
With a “19” head, we unscrew the two bolts securing the brake caliper.
Temporarily return the kingpin bearing cover to its place so that dirt does not get into it.
Remove the bracket and remove the pads from it if you want to rearrange them to a new bracket
Install the new caliper in reverse order, then install the brake pads into it (see How to replace the front pads GAZ-2705).
Install the brake hose (see How to replace the front brake hose of a Gazelle car)
After filling the system with brake fluid and bleeding it (see Replacing the brake fluid and bleeding the brake system of a Gazelle car) make sure there are no fluid leaks at the joints and reliable operation of the wheel brake mechanism.
