Repair of VAZ-2121
The ignition system is contactless. Consists of a distribution sensor, switch, ignition coil, spark plugs, ignition switch and high and low voltage wires
Removing the ignition distributor cover
Remove the high-voltage wires from the cover.
Remove the ignition distributor sensor (see article - Removing and installing the sensor).
Checking the distributor sensor can be found in the article - “Features of the ignition system.”
Ventilation system of the VAZ-2121 car - supply and exhaust
When the car is moving, air is forced into the cabin by natural pressure through the air intake slots on the hood and is sucked out through the holes in the rear roof pillars
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
Remove the radio receiver mounting panel (see Removing the radio receiver mounting panel).
Drain the liquid from the cooling system with the heater tap open (see Replacing the coolant)
