To remove the steering wheel of the Lada Priora, you will need a 24 mm socket wrench, a flat-blade screwdriver, and a 5 mm Allen key.
Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Set the steering wheel to the position corresponding to the straight-ahead movement of the car.
Unscrew the two screws securing the airbag
Turn the cushion
Pry off the green retainer of the steering pad wires
Move the retainer to the side
Having disconnected the block wires, remove the airbag
Press the lock of the wiring harness block
Disconnect the horn wire block
Mark the location of the steering wheel relative to the steering shaft with a colored marker
Loosen the tightening of the steering wheel mounting nut (it cannot be completely unscrewed) on the shaft
With sharp blows of the hands simultaneously from both sides, knock the steering wheel off the shaft
Finally unscrew the fastening nut and remove the steering wheel from the car.
Install the steering wheel in the reverse order, observing the location of the marks that were put with a marker on the steering wheel, relative to the shaft.
We install the steering wheel in the reverse order, aligning the previously made marks and installing a new self-locking nut.
Tighten the steering wheel fastening nut with a torque of 32-51 Nm (3.2-5.2 kgf.m).
If it is necessary to install the steering wheel in a new position (for example, if the spokes are inclined when the car is moving straight ahead), put the wheel on the shaft and fix it with a nut without tightening it completely.
After driving straight for a few meters, make sure that it is in the correct position.
If necessary, move the steering wheel to the required number of splines and tighten the nut.
