ET018 - Request to turn on the air conditioner

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored faults.

The ECM does not "see" the request to turn on the air conditioner.

Using the universal contact plate, check for open and short circuits in the circuit:

- ECM, terminal "46" - terminal "5" of the air conditioning control unit.

If necessary, correct the fault.

If the fault persists, diagnose the air conditioning system.

After correcting the fault, repeat the conformity check.

ET054 - Idle speed control

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored faults.

Check that parameters PR145 "Engine speed" and PR190 "Set idle speed" match.

Check the reliability of the connection and the condition of the idle speed control connector.

If necessary, repair the fault.

Measure and compare the resistance value of the idle speed control stepper motor with the value given in the "Additional information" article.

If necessary, replace the idle speed control.

Using the universal contact plate, check for open and short circuits in the circuit:

  • - ECU ECM, contact "12" - contact "B" of the idle speed control;
  • - ECU ECM, contact "41" - contact "A" idle speed control valve;
  • - ECU ECM, terminal "42" - terminal "C" of the idle speed control valve;
  • - ECU ECM, terminal "72" - terminal "D" of the idle speed control valve.

If necessary, eliminate the fault.

If the idle speed is low, check:

  • - operation of the fuel mixture control system;
  • - check the air supply system for contamination;
  • - engine oil level
  • - clearances in the valve drive mechanism and installation of the valve timing;
  • - ignition system (see. p. "Additional information);
  • - injectors;

If no comments are found, replace the idle speed control valve.

If the idle speed is high, check:

  • - engine oil level;
  • - operability of the absolute pressure sensor;
  • - condition of the hoses connected to the intake manifold;
  • - condition of the intake manifold gaskets;
  • - condition of the throttle pipe gaskets;
  • - tightness of the brake booster;
  • - presence of calibration jets in the crankcase ventilation system;
  • - clearances in the valve drive mechanism and installation of the valve timing.

If no comments are found, replace idle speed control valve.

After troubleshooting, repeat the conformity check.

ЕТ297 - Power steering pressure sensor

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored faults.

Only perform this interpretation if the conformity check is negative.

Check the connection and condition of the power steering pressure sensor connector.

Repair if necessary.

Using the universal contact plate, check for open and short circuits in the circuit:

  • - ECU ECM, contact "85" - contact "1" of the power steering pressure sensor;
  • - "ground" - contact "2" of the power steering pressure sensor.

Repair if necessary. malfunction.

If the malfunction persists, replace the power steering pressure sensor.

After eliminating the malfunction, repeat the conformity check.

ЕТ298 - Low-speed electric fan of the engine cooling system

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored malfunction in the coolant temperature sensor circuit.

Check:

  • - ground circuit of the electric fan;
  • - power circuit between the electric fan and the resistor of the electric fan;
  • - power circuit between the resistor of the electric fan and contact "A5" of the low-speed relay of the electric fan.

If necessary, eliminate the malfunction.

Check the reliability of the connection and the condition of the connector to the low-speed relay electric fan.

If necessary, eliminate the fault.

Check for 12 V voltage at contact "A3" of the low-speed relay of the electric fan.

If necessary, eliminate the fault in the circuit before the fuse.

With the ignition on, check for 12 V voltage at contact "A1" of the low-speed relay of the electric fan.

If necessary, eliminate the fault in the circuit before contact "A5" of the actuator relay.

Check the winding of the low-speed relay speed electric fan for open circuit.

Replace the relay if necessary.

Using the universal contact plate, check for open circuit and short circuit in the circuit:

- ECU ECM, contact "8" - contact "A2" of the low-speed electric fan relay.

Repair the fault if necessary.

After eliminating the fault, repeat the conformity check.

ЕТ299 - High-speed electric fan of the engine cooling system

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored fault in the coolant temperature sensor circuit.

Check:

  • - ground circuit of the electric fan;
  • - power circuit between the electric fan and contact "5" of the high-speed relay electric fan.

If necessary, eliminate the fault.

Check the reliability of the connection and the condition of the block to the high-speed relay of the electric fan.

If necessary, eliminate the fault.

Check for 12 V voltage at contact "3" of the high-speed relay of the electric fan.

If necessary, eliminate the fault in the circuit before the fuse.

With the ignition on, check for 12 V voltage at contact "1" of the high-speed relay of the electric fan.

If necessary, eliminate the fault in the circuit before contact "A5" of the actuator relay.

Check the winding of the high-speed relay of the electric fan for an open circuit.

Replace the relay if necessary.

Using a universal contact plate, check for an open circuit and short circuit in circuits:

- ECU ECM, terminal "38" - terminal "2" of the high-speed electric fan relay.

If necessary, correct the fault.

After correcting the fault, repeat the conformity check.

ЕТ300 - Air-fuel ratio control

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored faults.

Check the connection and condition of the upstream oxygen sensor connector.

If necessary, correct the fault.

Check:

  • - ignition system (see p. "Additional information);
  • - exhaust system tightness;
  • - intake manifold tightness;
  • - fuel pressure.

If the engine runs unsteadily at idle, check the valve drive mechanism clearances and valve timing.

If necessary, correct the fault.

With the ignition on, check for 12 V at contact "4" of the harness connector to the upper oxygen sensor. If necessary, correct the fault in the circuit to the actuator relay.

Run a diagnostic test of the oxygen sensor (see p. "Oxygen sensor diagnostics").

Replace the oxygen sensor if necessary.

Using the universal contact board, check for open and short circuits in circuits:

  • - ECU ECM, terminal "45" - terminal "2" of the upstream oxygen sensor;
  • - ECU ECM, terminal "80" - terminal "1" of the upstream oxygen sensor.

If necessary, repair the fault.

After repairing the fault, repeat the conformity check.

ET321 - Air conditioning compressor

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored faults.

Using the universal contact plate, check for open and short circuit in the circuit:

- ECU ECM, terminal "10" - terminal "B2" of the air conditioning compressor relay.

If necessary, repair the fault.

If the fault persists, perform system diagnostics air conditioning.

After troubleshooting, repeat the conformity check.

Interpretation of parameters

PR058 - Air temperature

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored faults.

If the temperature value read by the device does not correspond to the actual value, check that the resistance of the sensor changes depending on the temperature.

Compare the resistance values ​​of the sensor with the values ​​given in the article ECM fault codes and troubleshooting for the Lada Largus car "Additional information".

If necessary, replace the air temperature sensor.

If necessary, correct the fault.

After correcting the fault, repeat the conformity check.

PR064 - Coolant temperature

Diagnostic instructions

Should not be current or stored faults.

If the temperature value read by the device does not correspond to the actual value, check that the resistance of the sensor changes depending on the temperature.

Compare the resistance values ​​of the sensor with the values ​​given in the article ECM fault codes and troubleshooting for the Lada Largus car "Additional information".

If necessary, replace the coolant temperature sensor.

Using a universal contact board, check for open and short circuits in the circuits:

  • - ECM ECM, contact "13" - contact "B1" of the coolant temperature sensor;
  • - ECM ECM, contact "73" - contact "B2" of the coolant temperature sensor.

If necessary, eliminate the fault.

After eliminating the fault, repeat the check compliance.

PR071 - ECU supply voltage

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored faults.

With the ignition on:

If the supply voltage is less than the minimum permissible value, the battery is discharged:

- check the battery charging circuit.

If the supply voltage is greater than the maximum permissible value, the battery charging voltage is greater than the permissible range:

- check the battery charging voltage with both electrical consumers disconnected and connected.

At idle

If the supply voltage is less than the minimum permissible value, the battery charging voltage is less than the permissible range:

- check the battery charging circuit.

If the supply voltage is greater than the maximum permissible value, the battery charging voltage is greater than the permissible range:

- check the battery charging circuit.

If the supply voltage is greater than the maximum permissible value, the battery charging voltage is greater than the permissible range:

- check the alternator voltage regulator.

PR139 - Adaptive air-fuel ratio correction under load conditions

PR140 - Adaptive air-fuel ratio correction at idle

Diagnostic instructions

There must be no current or stored faults.

Adaptive air-fuel ratio correction parameters must be programmed:

- this programming requires a road test, observing the required manifold pressure ranges (see p. "Adaptive correction of the working mixture composition").

Check the tightness of the purge circuit of the adsorber.

If necessary, eliminate the malfunction.

Check these parameters on a running warm engine when adjusting the idle speed:

  • - if one of these parameters approaches its maximum value, then this indicates a lack of fuel or excess air;
  • - if one of these parameters approaches its minimum value, then this indicates an excess of fuel or lack of air.

Check:

  • - fuel filter and fuel pump for contamination;
  • - fuel injectors for contamination;
  • - air intake system for leaks and restricted flow;
  • - air filter for contamination.

If necessary, correct the problems.

Check:

  • - compression in engine cylinders;
  • - clearances in valve drive mechanism;
  • - ignition system (see. p. "Additional information").

If necessary, correct the comments.

After correcting the fault, repeat the conformity check.

PR421 - Intake Manifold Pressure

Diagnostic instructions

There should be no current or stored faults.

If the manifold pressure value read by the device does not correspond to the actual value, or the manifold pressure value is less than the minimum pressure at idle, check using the universal contact plate for open and short circuits in the circuits:

  • - ECU ECM, terminal "15" - terminal "A" of the absolute pressure sensor;
  • - ECU ECM, terminal "16" - terminal "B" of the absolute pressure sensor;
  • - ECU ECM, terminal "78" - contact "C" of the absolute pressure sensor.

If necessary, eliminate the malfunction.

If the malfunction persists, replace the absolute pressure sensor.

If the manifold pressure value read by the device is greater than the maximum idle pressure, check:

  • - tightness of the absolute pressure sensor mount on the intake manifold;
  • - clearances in the valve drive mechanism;
  • - compression in the engine cylinders;
  • - no air leaks in the intake manifold;
  • - no restriction of the exhaust system.

If necessary, repair the fault.

If the fault persists, replace the absolute pressure sensor.

After repairing the fault, repeat the conformity check.

PR429 - Measured throttle position

Diagnostic instructions

There must be no current or stored faults.

The throttle position "idle" (status ET278) or the throttle position "full load" (status ET279) is not detected.

Check the position of the mechanical stop of the throttle position sensor.

Check the throttle cable for signs of friction, sticking.

Repair if necessary malfunction.

Check that the sensor resistance changes smoothly when the throttle valve is moved from the "idle" position to the "full load" position.

Replace the throttle position sensor if necessary.

Using the universal contact board, check for open and short circuits in the circuits:

  • - ECU ECM, contact "43" - contact "C" of the throttle position sensor;
  • - ECU ECM, contact "74" - contact "B" of the throttle position sensor;

Repair the malfunction if necessary.

Check the mechanical connection of the sensor to the throttle valve.

Replace the fuel pump relay if necessary.

Check for open and short circuits in the circuits:

FFA 1 - No communication with the ECU

Check for 12 V at pin "16" of the diagnostic connector.

Diagnostic instructions

Perform after a complete check the system with a diagnostic tool.

Make sure the starter is working properly.

Check for fuel in the tank (fuel level sensor fault).

Check for pinched hoses (especially after removal).

Check the condition of the fuel filter.

Check the condition of the fuel tank.

Check for fuel in the tank.

Check for pinched hoses (especially after removal).

Check the condition of the fuel filter.

Check the condition of the fuel tank.

Make sure that the tank's connection to the atmosphere is not broken.

Check the reliability of the connection and the condition of the idle speed control valve connector.

If necessary, eliminate the malfunction.

With the ignition on, use the diagnostic tool to enter the AC109 command and check the operability of the idle speed control valve.

If necessary, eliminate the malfunction.

Disconnect the hose from the purge solenoid valve of the adsorber to the intake manifold. Plug the hose to avoid air leaks.
