An oil cooler is included in the system to cool the oil

The oil cooler is installed in front of the engine cooling system radiator and is connected to the engine lubrication system using rubber hoses.

In order to remove the oil cooler you will need 10mm wrenches and a screwdriver.

Open the hood.

Drain the oil from the engine lubrication system, see the article - Changing the GAZ-2705 engine oil

Loosen the hose clamps on both sides of the radiator

Remove the hoses from the oil cooler fittings

Remove the front panel along with the oil cooler, see the article - Removing the grille and upper panel of the radiator trim of a Gazelle car

Unscrew the four nuts securing the oil cooler and remove it from the front panel.

Install all parts in the reverse order of removal

new

After disassembling, thoroughly rinse all gearbox parts in kerosene, blow with compressed air and inspect

Possible pump malfunctions may include: leakage of the diaphragm and valves, decreased elasticity or breakage of the diaphragm spring, wear of pump drive parts
