Removal and installation of the throttle assembly of the ZMZ-40522, ZMZ-406 engine
Turning off the ignition, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery
Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
Use a screwdriver to loosen the clamp of the air supply hose to the throttle body and remove the hose.
Disconnect the throttle cable (see How to replace the throttle cable of a Gazelle car).
Drain the coolant (see Replacing the engine coolant of a Gazelle car).
Use a screwdriver to loosen the clamps of the coolant supply hoses
Remove the hoses.
Using a screwdriver, loosen the hose clamps of the idle air control and crankcase ventilation and remove the hoses from the throttle body pipes.
Using a 6mm hex wrench, unscrew the four bolts securing the throttle pipe to the receiver
Carefully, so as not to damage the gasket, remove the throttle body.
Install the throttle body in reverse order. After installation, you need to adjust the throttle valve drive.
Removal and installation of the throttle assembly of the ZMZ-40524 engine
Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery
Press the latch
Disconnect the wiring harness block from the mass air flow sensor
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air supply hose from the filter cover
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the hose from the throttle assembly
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the air supply hose
Remove the air supply hose together with the intake noise muffler and mass flow sensor
Squeeze the latch
Disconnect the wiring harness block from the throttle assembly
Remove the three bolts securing the throttle assembly
Remove the throttle assembly
Remove the gasket and be sure to replace it
Installing all parts in reverse order
