When the starter is turned on, the anchor does not rotate, the traction relay does not operate
The driveshaft is designed to transmit torque from the gearbox to the transfer case and from the transfer case to the front and rear drive shafts
You will need: a 10 mm spanner, a screwdriver, a hammer, and a punch
Remove the gear selector mechanism (see "Repairing the VAZ-2123 gearbox")
If you find oil leaking from under the front crankshaft oil seal, it needs to be replaced
Before replacing the oil seal, make sure that the crankcase gas recirculation system is not clogged
