Prepare the car for work. Use a 10 mm wrench to unscrew and remove the negative battery terminal.

Remove the air filter housing (see the article - "Replacing the K7M engine air filter")

Removing the K7M engine intake manifold: 1 - throttle actuator ball joints; 2 - air temperature sensor wiring harness; 3 - pressure sensor wiring harness; 4 - crankcase ventilation tube; 5 - throttle pipe; 6 - fuel rail; 7 - fuel rail supply line; 8 - intake manifold mounting bolt

Using a slotted screwdriver, disconnect the ball joints 1 (Figure 1), throttle actuator.

Disconnect connector 2 of the wiring harness from the temperature sensor.

Disconnect connector 3 of the wiring harness from the pressure sensor.

Disconnect tube 4 of the crankcase ventilation from the intake manifold.

Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

Remove housing 5 of the throttle valve, (see article - "How to remove the throttle pipe of the K7M engine")

Press the connector lock and disconnect the supply line 7 from the fuel rail 6.

Disconnecting the K7M engine intake manifold from the bracket: 1 - intake manifold mounting stud nut; 2 - intake manifold; 3 - bracket

Using a 13 mm head, unscrew the nut 1 (Figure 2) of the stud securing the intake manifold 2 to the bracket 3.

Disconnect the intake manifold wiring harness.

Using a 10 mm head, unscrew the four upper bolts 8 (Figure 1) securing the intake manifold.

Using a 10 mm head, unscrew the three nuts securing the lower intake manifold.

Remove the intake manifold

Installation

Install the intake manifold and use a 10 mm wrench to tighten the lower central nut securing it.

Install the bolts and nuts securing the intake manifold (replaceable head 10, 13, extension, wrench ratchet).

Tightening torques:

  • - intake manifold mounting bolts 25 Nm (2.5 kgf.m);
  • - intake manifold mounting nuts 25 Nm (2.5 kgf.m).

Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Using a 10 key, connect the terminal of the "ground" wire to the battery.
