Change the oil on a fully warmed-up engine
We carry out the work on a lift or inspection pit.
On a VAZ-21214, remove the power unit mudguard.
Use a 12 mm Allen key to unscrew the oil pan plug crankcase
Drain the oil into a container with a capacity of at least 4 liters.
Duration of oil drainage – at least 10 minutes.
Tighten the drain plug.
Use a puller to unscrew the oil filter and remove it
After lubricating the gasket of the new filter with engine oil, screw the filter onto the fitting and tighten it manually by 3/4 of a turn from the moment the gasket touches the cylinder block.
To fill the oil, remove the oil filler cap.
Fill in the oil.
To control the amount of oil being poured, remove the oil level indicator (dipstick) from the guide tube.
The oil level on the dipstick should be between the "min" and "max" marks.
Start the engine.
After the oil pressure warning light on the instrument panel goes out, stop the engine.
Check the oil level again. Top up if necessary.
