We carry out the work on an inspection pit or lift
We remove the oil pan protection plate and the engine mudguard.
We drain the oil from the engine (see Changing the engine oil).
We unscrew the nuts securing the cushions of the left and right power unit mounts to the front suspension crossmember brackets (see Removing the power unit mounts).
We disconnect the front axle gearbox mount to the power unit suspension brackets and the engine cylinder block (see Removing the front axle gearbox).
Having placed an adjustable stop under the clutch housing, we lift the power unit.
To secure the power unit, we insert wooden blocks between the support cushions and suspension brackets.
We lower the adjustable stop.
Using a 10 mm socket, unscrew the nineteen bolts securing the oil pan to the cylinder block.
Lower the oil pan
Remove the oil pan gasket from under the oil pump inlet pipe and the oil level indicator guide tube.
Remove the gasket.
Having cleaned mating surfaces of the cylinder block and oil pan, install a new gasket.
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
