Replace the shock absorber if there is a leak in the shock absorber fluid or if the damping efficiency is lost
Press the brake pedal all the way down several times with the engine off and, holding the pedal down, start the engine
You will need: a 10 mm spanner, a screwdriver, a hammer, and a punch
Remove the gear selector mechanism (see "Repairing the VAZ-2123 gearbox")
You will need: a 13 key, an 8 key, pliers, a screwdriver
