Replacing the crankshaft oil seal of a KamAZ car
We replace the oil seal when oil leaks from the rear of the engine, when the clutch discs become oily, and when repairing the engine.
Remove the gearbox, look at the article - “Removing and installing the gearbox of a KamAZ vehicle”
Remove the clutch basket
Remove the clutch discs
Unscrew the eight bolts securing the flywheel and remove the flywheel
Use a screwdriver or a suitable tool to remove the oil seal
Picture 5 shows the flywheel housing removed from the engine
Lubricate the new oil seal with engine oil
Install the oil seal and press it in using the old oil seal with light blows of a hammer
Assemble in reverse order.
When installing the clutch basket, center the driven disks using a mandrel or the input shaft of the gearbox
