Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket ZMZ-406
Over time, during operation, the gasket under the engine head cover loses its elasticity and strength and oil leaks from under the cover
You can try tightening the cover bolts.
If the oil leak from under the cylinder head cover could not be eliminated by tightening the cover bolts, replace the gasket.
You will need: a 12mm wrench, a screwdriver.
Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Drain the cooling system.
Loosen the clamp on the supply hose and move it to the side.
Disconnect the hose and wiring harness holders.
Remove the crankshaft position sensor wiring harness from the holder.
Remove the high-voltage wire tips from the spark plugs.
If replacement of high-voltage wires is not expected, the tips do not need to be removed from the cover wells
Loosen the clamp of the ventilation hose and remove the hose
Loosen the vacuum hose clamp and remove the hose
Disconnect the wire blocks from the connectors of the primary winding of the ignition coil.
Remove the bolts securing the cylinder head cover...
Remove the cover along with the gasket, high-voltage wires and ignition coils.
Separate the gasket from the cover.
Inspect the condition of the valve cover seal and oil pipes, replace if necessary.
Degrease the surfaces of the cylinder head and cover.
Install a new gasket on the cover, install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and connect all hoses and wires
