If increased noise is heard during operation of the vehicle, this is especially noticeable when starting the engine, or at idle, and if engine power drops, then most likely the fuel pump is faulty or the mesh on the pump module is severely clogged
First you need to check the fuel pressure, as described in the article - “Checking the fuel pressure of Lada Granta”
If the fuel pressure is higher than 4 kg/cm 2, then the pressure regulator installed in the fuel pump module is faulty and must be replaced.
If the pressure is below 3.8 kg/cm 2, then the fuel filter may be clogged - see the article on replacing the fuel filter - "Relieving fuel pressure and replacing the Lada Granta filter"
If the malfunction persists and the pressure is still low, then the pump receiver screen is most likely clogged.
Of course, if we visually determine that the receiver mesh is clean, then the pump clearly needs to be changed.
Relieve the fuel pressure in the system
Inside the car, remove the rear seat cushion
Bend the valve cut out in the soundproofing mat
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the four screws securing the fuel module hatch cover
Remove the hatch cover
Press the clamp of the wire block
Disconnect the block from the fuel module connector
We make a hook from steel wire and use it to press the lower latch, while simultaneously pressing the upper latch with your finger, disconnect the tip of the drain tube from the fitting of the fuel module cover
Squeeze the two green clamps of the tip of the fuel supply tube to the filter, disconnect the tip from the fitting of the module cover
Using sliding pliers, leaning on the protrusions of the fuel tank flange, we move the pressure ring of the module cover by the protrusions
Thus rearranging the pliers, we gradually turn the ring
Remove the pressure ring
Remove the fuel module, carefully, trying not to damage the fuel level sensor float.
Remove the rubber gasket
When installing the fuel module into the tank, arrow 1 on the fuel module cover should be directed towards the trunk.
Arrows 2 on the bosses of the cover fittings indicate the direction of fuel movement
Place the tips of the fuel pipes onto the fittings of the module cover until the spring clips click.
After making sure that the fuel module is securely fastened, we connect the tips of the fuel pipes and the wiring harness block to it.
Turn on the ignition for 5 seconds and check the tightness of the connections.
If necessary, check the fuel line connections.
Upon completion of work, install the hatch cover and the rear seat cushion in place
