You need to check the oil level in the gearbox every 15 thousand kilometers of the car
To check the oil level, place the car on a horizontal platform.
The oil level indicator (dipstick) is located on top of the gearbox housing (Figure 1, shown with the gearbox removed).
Remove the dipstick from the hole in the gearbox
Wipe the dipstick with a rag and insert it all the way into the hole in the gearbox housing
The oil level should be between the MIN and MAX marks
To add oil, put the hose on the funnel and insert the end of the hose into the hole in the gearbox housing under the dipstick
Add oil in small portions
Having removed the hose, check the oil level using the dipstick.
Changing the oil in the gearbox
The gearbox oil needs to be changed after 75 thousand km of the car.
It is better to change the oil in a warm gearbox after a trip.
We install the car on an inspection ditch or a lift.
Unscrew the bolts securing the engine protection and remove the protection (Fig. 7).
Place a container under the drain hole to drain the oil.
Use a 17mm socket or a spanner to loosen the drain plug
Unscrew the plug by hand and drain the oil from the gearbox
After draining the oil, wipe the drain hole and drain plug.
Wrap the plug and tighten it to a torque of 28.7-46.3 Nm (2.9-4.7 kgf.m)
3.1 liters of transmission oil is poured into the gearbox housing.
Gearbox oil brands depending on temperature:
- - SAE 80W-85(API GL-4, GL-4/5) from –26 °C to +35 °C;
- - SAE 75W-90 (GL-4/5) from –40 °C to +45 °C
