The engine is removed from the car upwards, having previously removed the gearbox
To remove the engine, a lifting device with a lifting capacity of at least 300 kg is required
The car must be installed on a lift, inspection ditch or overpass.
Before removing the engine, you must prepare reliable stands on which the engine must stand stably.
Helpful advice:
- before disconnecting hoses and electrical wires, we recommend marking them so as not to confuse them during assembly.
Remove the hood.
Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Disconnect the fuel supply and drain lines.
Loosen the clamp and remove the canister outlet hose from the receiver fitting.
Remove the engine splash guard.
Drain the engine cooling system.
Drain the oil from the engine crankcase.
Remove the cooling system radiator.
Disconnect the phase sensor connector from the wiring harness.
Remove the screws and disconnect the wires from the oil pressure indicator 1 and emergency oil pressure 2 sensors.
Disconnect the pads from the engine temperature sensors 1 and the coolant temperature indicator 2.
Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the throttle position sensor and mass air flow sensor.
Loosen the clamp, remove the pipe and move it to the side.
Disconnect the end of the cable from the throttle valve drive sector.
Loosen the fastening of the braided end of the throttle cable and move the cable to the side.
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the vacuum booster hose.
Loosen the clamp and remove the canister outlet hose from the receiver fitting.
Unscrew the front and rear nuts securing the receiver and remove the ground wires of the engine harness from the studs.
Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the idle speed control, crankshaft position sensor and ignition coils.
Disconnect the wires from the starter and generator.
Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the knock sensor.
After loosening the clamps, disconnect the outlet 2 and inlet 1 hoses of the interior heater.
Unscrew the nut and disconnect the oil supply hose to the oil cooler from the tap.
Unscrew the nut of the oil cooler drain hose and disconnect the hose from the oil sump fitting.
Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the injectors. Unfold the wire harness holders and remove the harness from the holders.
Move the wiring harness away from the engine.
Disconnect the hose and wiring harness holders and move them to the side.
Remove the power steering pump drive belt.
Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts and remove the pump from the engine without disconnecting the hoses.
Attach the lifting hooks to the lugs on the exhaust manifold and generator bracket.
Unscrew the four pairs of nuts securing the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold.
Unscrew the bolt securing the exhaust pipe to the bracket on the gearbox and move the exhaust pipe away from the exhaust manifold.
Unscrew the bolt and disconnect the ground wire.
Remove the bolts securing the cushions to the frame bracket on each side.
Check that all hoses and electrical wiring are disconnected from the engine.
Carefully lift out the engine.
Install the engine in reverse order.
