Usually the receiver is removed to access the ramp and engine injectors, as well as to replace the sealing gasket or when repairing the engine
Disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle pulley.
Using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the throttle cable bracket to the receiver dampers
Remove the bracket with the cable.
Remove the throttle assembly from the receiver without disconnecting the coolant supply and outlet hoses, crankcase ventilation and adsorber purge hoses from the unit.
Use pliers to loosen the clamp securing the brake booster hose to the receiver pipe
Removing the hose from the branch pipe
Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator hose
Using a 13 mm socket, unscrew the five nuts securing the receiver to the intake pipe
Remove the receiver from the pipe studs.
Remove the sealing gasket
A spacer gasket is installed on the high studs of the intake pipe
We install the receiver in the reverse order.
