In order to avoid damage to equipment or consumers caused by a short circuit or overload, each of the individual electrical circuits is equipped with a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, first disconnect the corresponding consumer.
Remove the fuse box cover.
Remove the damaged fuse, which can be identified by a burnt-out hair.
Insert a fuse with the same rated current parameters.
Individual electrical circuits are indicated on the cover.
The rated current of the fuse is shown on the back of the clamp.
In addition, the clamp is color-coded, by which you can additionally determine the value of the rated current.
If the last fuse you replaced blows out again after some time, you need to check the corresponding electrical circuit.
In any case, replacing fuses with wire or other similar means is prohibited as this may cause serious damage to the electrical equipment.
It is recommended to keep spare fuses on hand in the fuse box at all times.
Install the fuse box cover.
Usually the current value of fuses differs by the color of the fuse.
Sometimes the fuse thread remains intact, while its connection inside the fuse is broken.
It is impossible to visually determine such a malfunction.
In this case, you can assess the condition of the fuse using an ohmmeter or a test lamp.
If it is necessary to replace the relay, remove it using a puller located in the mounting block.
We install a new relay of a similar type.
To replace the fuses in the engine compartment, disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.
Remove the fuse box cover.
