We remove the front door trim to repair the internal parts of the car door
Removing the front door trim
Use a thin screwdriver to pry off the two door handle plugs.
Use a socket or a 10mm tubular wrench to unscrew the two bolts and remove the handle.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screw securing the door lock handle socket.
Pressing the handle towards you, remove the socket.
Squeezing the rubber socket of the window lift handle with your hand
Using an awl or a needle, squeeze out and remove the locking pin from the handle hole
Remove the handle with the socket.
Using a screwdriver, we “snap off” the eight plastic upholstery clips.
Removing the upholstery
Prying with a knife, carefully so as not to tear, remove the soundproofing gasket (it is glued to the sealant)
Install the upholstery in reverse order.
Removing the front door lock
Remove the door trim.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screw securing the glass guide
Take out the guide.
Use a screwdriver to disconnect the door handle rod from the lock.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the two screws securing the inner door handle.
Remove the handle together with the rod
Use a screwdriver to disconnect the two outer handle rods ri from the castle.
Use a 10mm wrench to unscrew the two bolts securing the door handle.
Remove its outer part
Remove the inner part.
Disconnect the lock rod from the lock switch.
Unscrew the button by hand.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the two screws securing the locking mechanism
Remove the lock mechanism.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the two screws securing the lock drive bracket.
We take out the lock lever mechanism along with the drive bracket and rods.
Using a 10mm wrench, unscrew the locking bolt securing the lock switch 2-3 turns.
Use thin pliers to undo the pins on the inside of the door and remove the lead from the switch (for clarity, the details are shown on the removed switch).
Remove the lock switch.
The lead on the lock switch is installed only in a certain position.
Use a large screwdriver to unscrew the two screws securing the door lock to the body (cabin)
Remove the lock
Install the lock in the reverse order, lubricating the rubbing joints (you can dip the mechanism in engine oil and let the excess drain)
Having installed the latch, we check the operation of the lock.
When adjusted correctly, the lock should not rest against the latch with the body of the locking mechanism.
Otherwise, loosen the screws securing the clamp and, moving it along the elongated holes, adjust its position, and then tighten the screws of the clamp.
