The anti-roll bar is a curved rod made of spring steel
It reduces the roll of the car when cornering.
Through rubber cushions pressed by steel clips, it is fixed at two points to the body and to the brackets on the lower support cups of the springs.
We remove the stabilizer to replace its rod if damaged or to replace the cushions of its mount, as well as to dismantle the transmission units.
You will need "17", "13" keys for the job.
Unscrew the four nuts of the stabilizer bar mounting brackets to the front axle gearbox
Remove both brackets.
Unscrew nuts of the stabilizer bar mounting brackets to the body side members
Unscrew the nuts of the stabilizer bar mounting brackets to the lower arms of the front suspension and remove the brackets
Remove the stabilizer and inspect it.
The cushions must not show signs of rubber aging, mechanical damage, or wear of the internal surfaces in contact with the stabilizer.
Replace defective cushions.
To facilitate the installation of new cushions on the stabilizer bar, lubricate the bar with a saturated soap solution.
Install the stabilizer in the reverse order of removal.
