You will need: a hex key for the drain plug (usually this key is included with the car in the driver's tool kit), a special key for unscrewing the oil filter or a large screwdriver, a funnel, a clean rag.
This is how the oil filter is located on the engine. Drain the oil after driving, while the engine is still warm.
If the engine is cold, start it and warm it up to operating temperature.
Fill in the same brand of oil that was in the engine.
If you still decide to change the brand of oil, flush the lubrication system with flushing oil or oil of the brand that will be used.
To do this, after draining the old oil, fill in new oil to the lower mark of the oil level indicator
Start the engine and let it run 10 min at idle.
Drain the oil and only then change the oil filter.
Now you can fill in new oil to the required level (upper mark on the dipstick). Do not drain used oil on the ground.
Open the hood.
Remove the plug from the oil filler neck by turning it approximately 90° counterclockwise.
Remove the oil pan guard and engine splash guard.
Access to the oil pan drain plug is possible even with the guard and splash guard installed, but in this case, some oil will inevitably spill out of the plug hole and when removing the oil filter from the oil line and contaminate the shield.
Clean the drain plug on the engine oil pan with a wire brush, then with a rag.
Wipe the oil filter and the sump around it with a rag.
Unscrew the drain plug, having first placed a container for the drained oil.
Drain the used oil. The oil is hot - be careful.
Tighten the plug.
Unscrew the oil filter by hand or with a puller.
Use a special key to unscrew the oil filter.
If you don't have such a key or a similar puller, punch the filter housing with a screwdriver and, using it as a lever, unscrew the filter, punching the filter as close to the bottom as possible so as not to damage the fitting.
You can also use a strip of coarse sandpaper folded in half, wrapping it around the filter and moving it from its place with your hands.
Fill the inner cavity of the new filter with clean engine oil to about a third of its volume (to reduce the engine operating time during the first start in conditions of "oil starvation")
If the sealing ring of the new filter is not treated with grease or talc by the manufacturer, lubricate the ring with clean engine oil and screw the filter into place by hand without using a tool.
Fill in clean oil. Replace the oil filler cap.
Start the engine and let it run at idle for several minutes (the low oil pressure indicator light should go out 2–3 seconds after starting the engine).
While the engine is running, check for oil leaks from the drain plug and oil filter.
Stop the engine, check the oil level, add oil if necessary, tighten the plug and filter.
