Vacuuming the air conditioning system is necessary when changing the refrigerant or replacing faulty or damaged parts of the air conditioning system
The refrigerant in the system is under high pressure, so when discharging the system, it is necessary to take precautions.
To bleed the refrigerant from the air conditioning system unscrew the protective cap of the low-pressure pipeline valve.
Using a special key for a tire valve, unscrew the valve core, bleeding the refrigerant from the system.
Also bleed the pressure in the system from the high-pressure pipeline valve
After the system is discharged, tighten the valve spools
Removing the air conditioning compressor
Remove the compressor for replacement or repair.
In order to remove the compressor, you need to bleed the pressure in the air conditioning system.
After that, remove the front mudguard of the engine compartment for this:
Using a 13 mm socket, unscrew the four pan mounting bolts
Removing the protection
Using an 8 mm socket, unscrew the five screws.
Remove the front mudguard.
Remove the air conditioning compressor drive belt for this:
Using a 13 mm head, loosen the two bolts securing the tension roller bracket
Using a 13 mm head, turn the adjusting bolt counterclockwise to loosen the belt
Remove the belt from the tension roller and compressor and crankshaft pulleys
When installing the belt on the compressor pulley, put it on so that it is located closer to the inner edge of the pulley
After this;
Using an 8 mm Allen key, unscrew the screw of the air conditioning compressor hose mounting plate.
Remove the mounting plate and hoses.
The connection of the hose tips and the compressor is sealed with rubber rings.
The diameters of the fittings of the outlet and inlet hoses are different, so the mounting plate is installed in one position
Using a 13 mm socket, unscrew the three bolts securing the compressor to the cylinder block bracket.
We move the compressor away together with harness from the cylinder block bracket
Disconnect the harness connector from the compressor connector
Install the compressor in the reverse order. After that, charge the air conditioning system.
