The front brake mechanism is disc, ventilated, with a floating caliper and one working cylinder
The brake disc is cast iron, its minimum permissible wear thickness is 17.8 mm.
The gap between the brake pads and the disc is maintained due to the elasticity of the rubber sealing ring installed in the groove of the working cylinder wall.
The floating front brake caliper includes a caliper and a wheel cylinder, held together by two screws.
Two bolts secure the cylinder to the guide pins installed in the holes of the pad guide.
The brake pads are pressed by springs to the grooves of the pad guide.
The cylinder contains a piston with a rubber sealing ring of rectangular cross-section. Due to the elasticity of this ring, a constant optimal gap between the brake pads and the disc is maintained.
Replacing the front wheel brake pads
The brake pads of the front wheels must be replaced only as a set - all four pads.
Replacing the pads of only one brake mechanism can lead to the car pulling to the side when braking.
If the fluid level in the brake hydraulic reservoir is at the MAX mark, then before installing new pads, use a syringe or rubber bulb to pump out some of the liquid from the reservoir so that when the piston is recessed into the working cylinder of the brake mechanism, liquid does not flow out from under the reservoir cap.
Remove the front wheel
Using pliers, bend the edges of the locking plate of the bolt securing the cylinder to the lower guide pin of the caliper.
Use a 13mm spanner to unscrew the bolt, holding the guide pin with a 17mm spanner
Remove the bolt with the locking plate
Raise the bracket
Remove the brake pads from their guide.
We clean the pad seats in the calipers and the pad guide from dirt and corrosion.
Before installing new pads, it is necessary to move the piston as much as possible inside the cylinder - this operation can be performed in different ways.
Using sliding pliers we recess the piston into the cylinder.
In another method, we install the inner block in place and lower the bracket into the working position.
Inserting a screwdriver or mounting tool through the caliper hole and leaning it on the brake disc, we move the bracket, recessing the piston into the cylinder indr
After replacing the pads, press the brake pedal several times to set the gaps between the pads and discs.
Check the level in the tank.
Replacing the front wheel brake hose
Remove the front wheel and securely fix the car on the support stand.
Turn the steering wheel all the way in the direction on which the hose is removed.
Remove the hose coupling from the shock absorber strut holder.
Holding the upper tip of the hose with a 15mm wrench, use a special 10mm wrench to unscrew the brake pipe fitting.
We remove the hose tip from the hole in the body bracket.
To avoid brake fluid leakage, place a rubber cap on the brake pipe for the brake bleeder fitting.
Use a 15 wrench to unscrew the lower tip of the hose from the cylinder.
Remove the hose
The connection between the lower tip of the hose and the cylinder is sealed with a copper washer
Install the hose in reverse order.
During installation, the hose must not be twisted.
To control the twisting of the hose, there are two yellow lines on it.
After installing the hose, we bleed the hydraulic drive of the brake system.
Replacing the front wheel brake cylinder
Remove the front wheel and securely fix the car on the support stand.
Turn the steering wheel all the way in the direction on which the cylinder is being removed.
Remove the brake hose.
Unlock the bolts securing the cylinder to the guide pins of the bracket and unscrew the bolt securing the cylinder to the lower guide pin.
Using a 13mm spanner, unscrew the bolt securing the cylinder to the upper guide pin, holding the finger from turning by the hexagon with a 17mm wrench.
Remove the brake caliper.
Clamp the caliper in a vice with soft metal jaw pads.
Using a 14mm socket, unscrew the two screws securing the cylinder to the caliper
Separate the cylinder from the caliper
To replace the piston boot, pry up the retaining ring with a screwdriver
Remove the locking ring
Remove the boot from the cylinder flange.
Install a new boot and assemble the bracket (cylinder with caliper) in reverse order
Remove the guide pin of the bracket from the hole in the pad guide
Apply a thin layer of graphite grease to the working surface of the finger. Install the bracket in reverse order.

Replacing the front wheel brake disc
Remove the front wheel and securely fix the car on the support stand.
Turn the steering wheel all the way in the direction on which the disc is removed.
Using a 17mm spanner, unscrew the two bolts securing the shoe guide to the steering knuckle.
Remove the pad guide assembly with bracket and pads from the brake disc.
To avoid tension on the brake hose, tie the bracket with a wire or cord to the front suspension spring
Use a 7mm spanner to unscrew the two guide pins.
Removing the brake disc
If it is difficult to remove the disk, knock it down with a hammer
If it is necessary to remove the brake disc shield, use a 10mm wrench to unscrew the three bolts securing the shield to the steering knuckle
Remove the brake disc shield
Install the shield and brake disc in reverse order.
